How We Ensure the Safe Care and Responsible Placement of Our Birds

Embarking on the journey of adopting a parrot is a meaningful and long-term commitment, and we are here to guide you every step of the way.

Our adoption process is designed to ensure that each parrot is placed in a safe, knowledgeable, and loving home where they can thrive.

The process begins by

1. Identifying a parrot you are interested in adopting.

2. We schedule a thorough screening where we take the time to get to know you, your lifestyle, and your home environment. During this conversation, we discuss:

   1. Common household hazards.

   2. Proper parrot care, housing, diet, and enrichment requirements.

   3. Make sure you are fully prepared for the significant, long-term commitment that comes with caring for a parrot.

3. If the screening process goes well, we will schedule a time for you to meet and interact with the parrot you are interested in adopting. This visit allows us to observe the interaction and make sure the parrot and adopter are a good match.

4. If the visit goes well and we determine that the placement is the right fit, we will move forward with the adoption, and your parrot can go home.
